(3.5 stars) Lulu's offers a pretty solid breakfast. I ordered the french toast and I wasn't crazy about it but it was enjoyable. It was relatively simple, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but i felt after a few bites, my interest feigned. It's a cute little spot and the omelettes are a great option. Considering there aren't very many good breakfast places around, this surely isn't a bad choice.

My husband and I stumbled upon this cozy café which we were surprised to hear had been operating for five years. We have had breakfast, lunch and even dinner here. The food is yummy and diverse with a healthy view - a side of fresh fruit served with breakfast items, one of the only two fountain service places that remember what a chocolate malted is, and the vintage 50's décor and lighting design make it perpetually cheerful. We shared a dessert of the best coffee ice cream ever - Kahlua Cappoccino - yum! There is no place comparable in the area.

This used to be the place to go for a quirky but delicious breakfast. Not anymore. They raised their prices tremendously. 11.95 for eggs and turkey sausage is a bit much. The food was also pretty lousy this time around. I should have known something was up as the place was empty on a Sunday morning. I haven't been there in a few months but can only guess new owners maybe. The food was dry and overcooked. I had an omlette that was very dry and the fillings just laid on top. Looked like crap and tasted that way. My son ordered his usual burger and said it was the worst burger he had in a while. Even the ice tea and coffee were not very good. Very weak and no flavor. It's a shame but this place may be gone soon. I know I won't be back.

I have heard about this place quite a few times from my friends at work. It's on my way home, but I waited until we could do lunch to try it for the first time. I was not disappointed. The decor was absolutely adorable and the atmosphere was very chic and homey. The woman who took care of us was a sweetheart. When we got there, it was not busy yet, but it absolutely exploded with business as soon as it hit lunch. This did cause a longer lunch than was appropriate for our lunch breaks, but I'll just have to remember the wait time for the future (a little more than an hour with everything included). They were a little frazzled, but in order to make up for the wait, we were given our drink order free and buckeye balls (which were amazing!) I had the Chipotle Turkey Burger. It had a delicious sauce, avocados, and I was able to add my own tomatoes and lettuce. Boy was it messy though! I now have chipotle on my blouse. ;) My friends also really enjoyed their meals. Overall, a great experience. I'll be stopping by for coffee and reviewing that as well. :)

When out on a long bike ride, finding a place to eat that coincides with break points that is more than a crummy deli inside a gas station is tough. We picked Lulu's on a whim as it happened to be at a good break point. We normally don't go to sit down restaurants, but we did not have much of a choice as there isn't much else around. The inside is sort or a mix between coffee shop and diner and was staffed by really nice people. We ordered a veggie burrito, chocolate chip multi-grain pancakes and a piece of chocolate cake. The food came out reasonable fast and everything was very good. The pancakes were not too enormous and were light and fluffy. The chocolate cake was decadent and delicious. My wife and I were definitely fighting over it. The whole meal came to about $25, not too bad. Lulu's is now officially on my list of cycling break food stops.

Really great retro feeling place with unexpected food finds! Second to best hummus I've ever had, curry chicken is amazing. Specials throughout the year are great too- lemonades, etc. Whole what Harvest pancakes were also spot on. Place can get very busy especially on the weekends for breakfast so be prepared to wait- it's worth it!

About as good as it gets for a casual Brunch in Rockland This place really impressed me. It's a tiny cafe style restaurant with a small town feel. I ordered the breakfast burrito which came with fruit and home fries. The burrito had fresh ingredients and was large and delicious. I also had some of the peanut butter stuffed french toast with bananas and strawberry. This was amazing. What turned into "trying it" ended up being eating a whole piece. I would highly recommend either of these for brunch. The prices were very reasonable ($10). The service was attentive and the atmosphere was attractive. This place is worth a 20 minute drive once in a while to get a good brunch. I'll be returning regularly.

Such an adorable restaurant for families and girl talk! The atmosphere is very homey, yet retro. I went here for brunch and the food was delicious, as well as, affordable. Would totally come here again!

This place was great! Cute, very kitschy atmosphere. Vintage aprons hanging on the wall, water served in ball jars, old coke memorabilia around. My husband and I ordered the same thing- BLT on whole grain with house made sweet potato fries. I also had a Diet Stewarts root beer. The sandwich hit the spot- crispy bacon, not too much mayo. We got an oreo cupcake to go and it was amazing. I would definitely go back.

Super cute country-kitchen style with mismatched plates and delicious food. The salads are fantastic and they have a wide selection of baked goods as well. I've never ordered their sandwiches but they have many to choose from. Quaint, good service, and friendly staff.

Pleasantly surprised by this charming quirky cafe we found by chance. Friendly efficient but relaxed servers. We had two excellent salads --- curried chicken and Cobb --- that were very generous for the price. Sweet potato fries a treat. Beautiful cappuccino to round out a nice lunch. Highly recommended!

Good food. Cute environment. Service has improved. Place should be dusted and cleaned. Looks dirty and silverware is dirty sometimes.

Lulu's was recommended by a colleague for lunch. I have been here a couple of times and have not been disappointed. Supurb, friendly service with a smile. The food is very good: I've tried the soup, crab cake appetizer and a Tuesday lunch special dish with rice, black beans, peppers, chicken with cheese and sauce on top (I forget the name of the dish). I cleaned the plate. I am fortunate to travel to this area for my employer and will definitely go back to Lulu's. I work close by so the hour lunch break is easily manageable at this location. Stewarts sodas are a treat and I will not be able to resist the cupcakes for much longer. Having daily specials will keep it from becoming too familiar. This is a nice place. Take it from me, a hard to please (entire family says so) eatery critic. Five well deserved stars for the environment, staff/service, price and quality of the food.

Lulu's is very whimsical and reminds me of Kitchenette in the city. The decor is adorable, and is the perfect place to take the lady(ies) in your life. The brunch is yummy. I highly recommend the Farmer's Scramble or the Blueberry Corncakes. My only complaint is that service can be a little slow at times, but even so I still love this place.

We eat here at least once a week. The sandwiches and salads are both excellent. Desserts are also good, albeit pricey. We usually do take-out, but it's a nice, quaint little cafe that is perfect for dining.

Supper disappointed. I got the chunky monkey ( whole wheat pancakes with Banana and chocolate ). EXTREMELY DRY pancakes !! Put syrup and butter and nothing helped. After few bites I stopped eating. My friend enjoyed the peanut butter banana stuffed French toast though. Iced latte was nothing special. We tried to get our waiters attention which was pretty hard for such a large place. Finally he came over I explained that the pancakes were dry. He asked if I would like something else which by this time my friend had finished eating so I said no. 1 star for my friend liking her food and another bc he actually took off pancakes from the bill. I think I could give it another chance and go with buttermilk pancakes ? But most likely not

Maybe it was an off night but wow, tonight th service as horrible. It was early. 6pm and the place was empty. The service was so slow taking our order and I actually prefer that I'm not rushed. Appetizer came as dinner came. Food was good and I like supporting a local place but they need to get it together.

As soon as you walk in, you get an instant musty smell. The decor...just awful. The tables were dirty and sticky. The food was alright. With the Rockland bakery right there you'd wonder why they don't use real challah loaves for their French toast.

This place is adorable. The food is pretty good, too. I thought it was little pricey for lunch but my husband disagreed. I like the sandwich choices. The American in Paris was so yummy. The Sweet potato fries were a bit soggy but tasty. My husband enjoyed his burger. Service was very good. This place is a great place for a girls' luncheon date. I hear it is awesome for brunch- so I will definitely be going back. Recommend!

Lulu's is owned by the same people who own Temptation's in Nyack. Is basically the same menu, but Lulu's doesn't offer as many desserts. However, they have ginormous cupcakes in a bunch of diff flavors, very rich but very tasty. All the food is amazing. Steak salad is great, all vegetarian options are delish. They have this curry pumpkin soup in fall....mmmmm. Stewarts root beer, sweet potato fries, red velvet cupcakes, it's all good. It's a cute lIttle decorated spot, too.

I've only been here for breakfast/brunch on weekends and can't say enough good things about the food. I've had omelets, egg sandwiches, frittatta's and have enjoyed them all immensely! The place is very cute, kitschy, and very small, never have had to wait even though it is always busy. Probably not the best place to go if you have a huge group. I've been there on both Saturdays and Sundays and the staff on Saturdays is much better than Sunday mornings. The Sunday morning staff always act like you are putting them out by being there. Also another con is that there have been a few times where the coffee hasn't been very warm. I love love the food here though so that outweighs the negative.

PEANUT BUTTER FRENCH TOAST FTW! it's on their brunch menu, which they only serve on saturdays & sundays. i've had several items on their brunch menu & they are all fantastic! it's a cute, small mom n pop type place to eat with nostalgic type decor! FYI, they are closed on mondays. mondays are evil!

Great stop for brunch. I often go here on a Sunday am with my family. It is always packed and generally hard to get a table. Great assortment of whole wheat pancakes with fillings and fresh fruit toppings, the chunky monkey pancakes are superb! peanut butter french toast is my Mothers favorite, I personally LOVE the Huevos Rancheros (3 corn tortillas topped with black beans, cheddar cheese, topped with 2 over easy eggs, fresh avocado, sour cream and salsa) . My only thing is the cupcakes are not made in house and are not so good, otherwise great place with great selections and not to pricey!

This restaurant is very cute. The mismatched china plates, preserve jars for water glasses and gingham tablecloths make you feel instantly at home, as if you were dining in your grandmother's kitchen. During lunchtime it tends to get crowded and there is usually a wait, but that is because the food is simply delicious. The vegetarian options are plentiful. Of note is the homemade black bean burger with avocado and the fried plantains with honey dijon dipping sauce. Yummy! If you're not in a hurry, this tiny cafe is worth a stop!

What a treat!! Unexpected good restaurant in West Nyack. We all had very good food and my Husband finished with a "Twinkie" Cupcake that was very yummy! Husband and Wife owned with local clientele. We will go out of our way to have lunch there again soon! p.s. also a good cup of tea

A quaint, charming place, but the food was disappointing. The peanut butter stuffed french toast was beautifully presented with sliced bananas and strawberries on top. Very dry however. Needed lots of maple syrup to make it edible. Even then it wasn't worth finishing. It was a disappointment. My companion ordered the coconut shrimp salad which was OK but not great.

If you like diner food but good diner food than you have to try Lulu's Cafe which is not too far from the Palasades Mall. The place is packed for breakfast and brunch. The food is good the burgers and plump and juicy. The PB french toast is great. Love their omellettes. And not as greasy as some of the other diners. Love sweet potato fries. Not many diners serve that. And if you love cupcakes they have many choices in home made cupcakes.

i never knew about Lulu's until a random search of brunch places in the vicinity. i've been to good places like pancakes plus, strawberry place, country house of pancakes and other diners and lulu's lives up to the standards for sure. small downside: the place is small, only about 12 tables/booths and only serves breakfast on sundays. otherwise all their food is top notch and rather unique. the brunch menu has about 20-25 items available, but you can order from rest of menu (sandwiches, salads, desserts, etc.). we went as a group of 8 and not one complaint in any way from anyone. our food choices ranged from pancakes to waffles to eggs to soup. their egg dishes had to be the most unique: open face farmer's omelette with home fries cooked inside, scrambled egg quesadilla, breakfast burrito. waffle dishes with fresh fruit. cornmeal pancakes with blueberries were out of this world...didn't use an drop of syrup and cousin said they were tastier than his buttermilk reese's pieces pancakes. the banana and peanut butter french toast was delicious and the peanut butter did not overpower the dish (topped with fresh strawberries as well). while we didn't get desserts (their cupcakes and pies looked phenomenal - Crumbs level quality and size) we did get some great drinks. milkshake was thick and tasty. root beer float was amazing...stewart's root beer (my personal favorite) and homemade ice cream (thick and custard-like). also the cappuccino and ice cappuccino were hits. i highly recommend this place on a sunday when others in the area are overcrowded. i believe a sister restaurant of temptations cafe in nyack so you can't lose.
